Inspiring tomorrow’s leaders: Ninety-five students attend Summer Volunteer Program at Mayo Clinic in Arizona

In June, Volunteer Services welcomed 95 high school and college students to Mayo  Clinic in Arizona for our annual eight-week Summer Volunteer Program.
This program offers students a meaningful way to give back through service to our  patients, visitors and staff while gaining valuable exposure to the healthcare  environment.
In addition to their volunteer assignments, students participate in a variety of  enrichment opportunities, including clinical skills labs, simulation activities and a  special career exploration event featuring professionals from clinical and non-clinical  fields who share insights into their educational and career paths.
Their presence not only supports our staff by assisting with non-clinical tasks and  improving service efficiency, but also enriches the patient experience with warm  interactions, timely assistance and an added layer of personalized care. In addition, this  program helps foster the next generation of healthcare professionals — building a  future workforce inspired by Mayo Clinic’s mission and values.
