AzSVAH members, Kairin Whiteside, Jackie Barr & Ed Neilson have been accepted to
present at the national SHVL (Society for Healthcare Volunteer Leaders) on March 14,
2025, in New Orleans.
They will be presenting on a unique service program that was established 3 years ago
at Mayo Clinic called the Caregiver Support Program.
This program utilizes volunteers to provide much needed support specifically for the
caregivers of the patients at the Mayo Clinic Hospital. The goal is to effectively create
meaningful connections with our patient’s caregivers, to engage in supportive
conversation, to be a non-judgmental ear, and to offer resources when needed.
